Regulations On Packaging Of Goods

1.             General Requirements

All products must be packaged into complete Parcel sealed by the Seller before shipment. The Seller commits that the Parcel must have the correct and full products as the Order. The Shipping Unit will only accept Parcels under the principle of "intact and sealed" and is not responsible for the contents inside the Parcel if the Parcel is delivered to the recipient and/or returned to the Seller in an intact sealed condition without any tear, breakage, wetness, or deformation, except where there is evidence of fault by the Shipping Unit.

The packaging of all Parcels must include the following information:

a.    Recipient information including: Recipient's name, address, and phone number (encrypted);

b.    Seller information including: Seller's name, address;

c.    Order’s bill of lading code;

d.    Order code on the Marketplace system (optional);

e.    Name of the Shipping Unit;

f.     Warning notes for products requiring special transportation conditions as described in the Delivery Policy, for example: "Fragile," "Not for air transport," etc.

To ensure the safety of the product, AEONMALL recommends that the Seller should include a valid financial invoice of the product, documents proving the legal origin of the goods, and documents proving the goods meet legal conditions in the Parcel (if any). The financial invoice serves as the basis for handling complaints such as determining the market value of the product, ensuring the product is legally circulated and not confiscated by market authorities, etc.

Product is delivered to Customers in the following ways:

(i).     For products in physical form (depending on the Customer's choice):

(ii).For the products with online card, code form: Online card, codes will be sent to the Customer via email or SMS and displayed in the Order details immediately after the Customer successfully makes the payment.

2.             Packaging Instructions

a.             General Packaging Regulations

-  The Seller is responsible for packaging according to the standard if the Seller uses the delivery method provided by the Shipping Unit.

-  If the Parcel is not packaged according to the regulations of the Delivery Policy and these guidelines, the Delivery Unit's delivery staff will guide re-packaging or have the right to refuse the Parcel.

-  The Seller is responsible if any damage/breakage occurs during transportation when not packaged according to the Delivery Policy and these guidelines.

b.             Packaging Regulations for Regular Product

In the case of product delivered by standard or express delivery methods (excluding products in section c below), the Seller must package the product according to the following guidelines:

Non-fragile/non-deformable product, not liquid, not requiring special storage/transport conditions (e.g., clothes, diapers, etc.)

  • Wrap with 2-3 layers of bubble wrap or 3-5 layers of shrink film around the product;
  • Secure with air bags or 2.5 cm thick foam on all 6 sides around the product;
  • Pack in a carton box or bubble wrap bag;

-       For dried food:

  • Pack in moisture-proof vacuum-sealed packaging, wrap thoroughly with shrink film around the product to prevent odor spread;
  • Product without available packaging from the manufacturer: wrap with shrink film around the box to minimize external impact from rats, insects.

c.              Packaging Regulations for Fragile Product

In the case of fragile product delivered by standard or express delivery methods, the Seller must package the product according to the classification of the product as guided below:

(e.g., ceramics, glass, mirrors, etc.)

 

  • Wrap with bubble wrap 3 times lengthwise, 3 times widthwise, seal with 2 rounds of tape to seal the product;
  • Secure with air bags or 3-5 cm thick foam on all 6 sides around the product;
  • Pack in a carton box, seal the corners of the carton box with tape to prevent leaks/deformation due to impacts;
  •  Label the box with "Fragile";

-       Note:

  • If there are 02 or more products, place foam/paper/bubble wrap between the products to avoid collision during transportation;
  • For high-value products, additional tamper-evident seals/stickers of the Seller at the joints of the box are required.

Products with the longest dimension under 150 cm (for standard delivery method) and under 50 cm (for express delivery method), fragile/deformable and containing liquid (including products containing alcohol) or canned/bottled products

(e.g., cosmetics in fragile bottles, milk powder, etc.):

  • Secure the product cap with 2-3 layers of tape, wrap the body and bottom of the product with plastic to prevent leaks;
  • Wrap with bubble wrap 3 times lengthwise, 3 times widthwise, seal with 2 rounds of tape to seal the product;
  • Secure with air bags or 3-5 cm thick foam on all 6 sides around the product;
  • Pack in a carton box, seal the corners of the carton box with tape to prevent leaks/deformation due to impacts;
  • Label the box with "Fragile";

-       Note:

  • If there are 02 or more products, place foam/paper/bubble wrap between the products to avoid collision during transportation;
  • Liquid products sold in cartons/bundles keep the original packaging from the manufacturer: wrap with bubble wrap 3 times lengthwise, 3 times widthwise, seal with 2 rounds of tape to seal outside the carton/bundle;
  • For high-value products, additional tamper-evident seals/stickers of the Seller at the joints of the box are required.

Small-sized high-value electronic goods, devices with the longest dimension under 150 cm (for standard delivery method) and under 50 cm (for express delivery method)

(e.g., phones, cameras, camcorders, laptops, etc.)

  • Wrap with 2-3 layers of bubble wrap on all 6 sides of the product;
  • Secure with air bags or 3-5 cm thick foam on all 6 sides around the product;
  • Pack in a carton box, seal the corners of the carton box with tape to prevent leaks/deformation due to impacts;
  • Label the box with "High-value fragile goods";

-       Note:

  • If there are 2 or more products, place foam/paper/bubble wrap between the products to avoid collision during transportation;
  • Double sealing:

o  If there is already a manufacturer seal: only one additional seal of the Seller is required outside the carton box;

o  If there is no manufacturer seal: one seal is required outside the product and one seal outside the carton box.

 

3.             Regulations on Invoices and Documents Accompanying Parcel

a.             Regulations on Printing and Attaching Delivery Labels on Parcel

The Seller needs to attach the delivery label printed according to the Marketplace's template outside the Parcel and ensure the delivery label includes all the required information as specified in Section 1 of this guideline and hand over the Parcel to the Shipping Unit according to the Order information.

b.             Regulations on Documents Accompanying Parcel

The Seller needs to provide complete valid invoices and documents of the product when handing over the Parcel to the Shipping Unit according to the law. In case there are no complete invoices and documents during transportation:

-       The Seller is responsible for providing the authorities with complete invoices and documents of the product within 03 (three) days from the request of AEONMALL or the authorities if the product is checked and held by the authorities. AEONMALL will cooperate with the Seller and the Shipping Unit during the investigation. AEONMALL will refuse to support the resolution if the Seller does not provide the required documents within the above time, leading to the product being confiscated.

-       In case the product is damaged or broken during transportation, the Seller is responsible for providing complete sales invoices to ensure the right to receive compensation from the Shipping Unit. AEONMALL is not responsible for resolving cases where the Shipping Unit refuses compensation or partially compensates due to the Seller's failure to provide necessary documents as per the law.

Note: The Seller needs to keep the waybill/delivery invoice each time they deliver goods to the Shipping Unit for 03 (three) months. In case of any complaints or disputes about lost goods, the waybill/delivery invoice will be the most solid proof that the Seller has delivered the goods.
